Hey Family,
I have not written in awhile, but nothing new is really going on up here in Maine. The weather is still pretty nasty. We have not had snow lately but we have had a couple days of freezing rain.
I am working on the front end for the next couple of weeks. I am at a store right near portland so there is a lot of culture and low income. I have to deal with a lot of food stamps and wic orders which are a little difficult. But again the people are really cool and the customers are nice. And it does make me count my blessings.
So i think i am going to become a member of MOAC - Maine Outdoor Adventure Club. I went on a walk on the beach with this group that consisted of four people over 50 who all were giving me a hard time becuase they had kids older then me. All in all tho it was a lot of fun. We went for an hour walk on the beach at night then went to this little bar where a band was playing and the GREAT thing about hanging out with older people is that they paid for my DRINKS!!!!
I love you guys and cant wait to see you all soon.
Rian congrats about the house!!!!!
Emily

you should be buying me drinks-not the other way around!!!!Keep going out-i love you-god keep you
Here's to hanging out with old people or should i say "people with more life experience?" Ha.
Our best friends down here are turning 40 this year. I didn't see myself purchasing "you are old" gag gifts for my friends for at least another 10 years.
I guess what this means though is: I am old. And Emily you are old too becuase you also see hanging out with people our parents age isn't so awful as we might have once thought.
To clairfy none of my aunts, uncles, parents or grandparents are old.
Emily,
An adventure club? You may never get rid of your father now. Of course he's not interested in "those people" as he refers to the female gender in our family, who are over 50. He'd prefer company that have four legs or that can wrap around his neck like a snake. It's something about moving. Even Rian has met an older woman on the beach who recently dog sat for Bear. I, myself, hang out with 87-year old Ken nextdoor more than I do your uncle. Now that is OLD. Hurry home to visit. I know your mom and dad miss you a bunch. Love Aunt Pam
I am glad there was clarification of "old." I was beginning to get a complex! At least us old folks are fun to hang out with as you are finding out. We're are not a bad bunch at all! Just young like you in an aged body!
Yes. I am glad the clarification of "old" was made as well. I already have a complex and the comments were adding to it.
Sounds like fun though, Em. Way to seek out fun/meeting new people for yourself in a new place away from home. That is hard to do. I'm proud of you.
