SOOOO I was at the bank today and an old women decided to hit my car (previously matt's car) and drive away! I didnt see it but a kid my age in the parking lot saw the whole thing. he gave me what he thought was the plate number. it turns out he must have gotten numbers switched because the car description did not match the plate. big bummer :( SOOO the police are still going to investigate but I am sure it is not a huge priority. the damage is not to bad. Lot of scratches and the trim popped off a little. this wasnt really how i wanted to spend my day off but i guess it could have been worse!

good morning to all
I heard by phone from matt!!!!!!!
2 phone calls in 44 days we are on a roll
he has tried to get on the blog but it is all in german
and the modems or what ever they are called are very slow
and it takes him a lot of time to get on
so not a lot of luck reading things yet
things should get better
he still is out and about
most of his work is being done at night
and sleeping during the day is a little tough
the tent is 100 degrees by 11 am with the air on when it is on
how many people want to go and visit
i was and am so happy to hear him say mom
how i wish and hope for the day he says it to me in front of me at least on USA soil
Please keep the information and pictures coming

Well, here I am! And only had to email Jeanine one time. Matt -- you should be proud that your Aunt Paula is now an official blogger! That is truly an accomplishment, or it will be once we see if this will work.
Waiting for Uncle Tim to come home.. it's his birthday today, and we are going out to dinner. That is a good thing, because after two days of school, I have no energy to cook tonight. Hope all is well there, or at least as good as it can be. Every time I complain about how hot I am, I think of you in 110 degrees!

Everybody's posts have been great so far. I can't wait for Matt to have time to log on and see what everyone has to say. Kenny, I'm sure he will appreciate you bringing that picture back. Hmmmm...how is it that you had that saved for so long???

Aunt Mary, as soon as I get a moment I will post pics of the other attendees @ Sarah's Bachelorette. Glad to see his mother is looking out for him and wants us to send him more pictures of hot girls. :0)

My parents haven't caught onto the whole "blogging" thing yet, but I am all for it. I can't compete with cousin Bobby but I am sharpening my rock climbing and other outdoor skills for when my "country cousin" returns home. I pray for you every night. BTW, I eat pears now. I Think My Wife Is Missing The Point...

...of FoF. The goal here is not to embarrass Matt with random, candid pictures, taken without his expressed written consent. It's to let him know we miss him, love him, can't thank him enough for what he's doing, and can't wait to have a beer with him (provided you're of age) once he's back home. And what better way to do that, I ask, than to show a picture of him with a hot woman?

Well Hello Family!!!!

I really do like the idea of this blog plus I have never been a blogger and it is great to finally be one! BUT I know my mom has already had trouble getting signed up and I will give my Dad a dollar if he figures out how to get on!!! I am sure soon all the Aunts and Uncles will soon find their way on.

I am in bakery right now, although I dont think they should really call it a bakery. It should be more along the lines of "take the frozen donuts out of the box and put them in the oven." Most of the bread, muffins and cakes come frozen and pre made! You all have been fooled! Even so it is a pretty fun dept.

Hope everyone is well!!! I miss you guys SO MUCH!!!

ps anyone hear anything about how our new college freshman are doing?!?!?! Are you out there Jim and Bobby?!?!?!?!?!

I was sitting here at work with nothing to do (ha ha) and thought I'd take a break to see if I could get this work. I got this far, so I guess I must have done something right. What is "FFF" you may ask...

Yeah, well, I asked Calvin to read the 1st post back to me so I could be sure it made sense. He asked, "What does "FFF" stand for?
I said, in an exasperated I can't believe you don't know this type of tone, "Friends of Funk! Duh!" To which Calvin replied, "Ummm...that would be "FOF."
So, OK, there we go...just a weee bit of a discrepancy. He's right. I'm wrong. But, now I can't change it because I set up the whole account this way. So, we're just going to have to live with "FFF." Perhaps someone out there can think of something cool for this to stand for.

"Ugh," I can't believe I did that. Jiminey Crickets.

INTRO TO THE "FRIENDS OF FUNK" BLOGGING EXPERIENCE

Hi Everyone who will now be known as "Friends of Funk,"

In lieu of Matt sending out 50 million emails and in lieu of the rest of us forwarding said emails 50 million times (inevitably leaving someone out), Uncle John (a.k.a Matt's Dad, Mr. Funk and/or John) had an idea to create a place where we can all gather for our "Matt Updates." We can also use this forum to communicate with Matt and let him know of our latest goings on. It will be like our own personal TMZ.com, but much more interesting.

INSTRUCTIONS
To sign on and view/amend blog, proceed with steps below:
1. http://www.google.com/
2. click on "sign in"
3. email address: fffUSA01@gmail.com, password "thedunes"
(you have the option to click "remember me on this computer" once you do that, you will not have to retype the email address repeatedly, but it will always ask you for your password).
4. click on "my account"
5. click on "blogger"
6. This will take you to the "dashboard" or the control center of the "FFF Blog"
7. To view blog, click on "View Blog"
8. To post something hit "New Post"
9. once you are finished hit "Finalize Post"
** you can add videos and pictures as well as text, the help section of blogger is pretty helpful in explaining everything. If you still have trouble or are otherwise worried your whole computer might explode if you attempt this feat, please feel free to send your photos, videos, text to me
