Top Five Reasons to Visit Amanda and Kenny Down Yonder

5) Our cherry blossoms bloom before your cherry blossoms. Note: This picture was taken a week ago. I have since been informed that y'all have these now too.
4) Target has really cute colorful purses. My mom said these were listed in the Sun as one of the "must haves" for Spring.

3) BangBang Shrimp, huge scallops, Shrimp Diablo, and the best Pinot Grigiot ever are just five minutes away at Bonefish Grill.

2) You too can sing along to Breathe's "Hand's to Heaven" and other 80s tunes on Kenny's iPod. If you've never heard of that tune, you should download it. There aren't words...

1) Duh - you can play Rock Band

Not making the list (in no particular order):

- The word's best pizza at Mellow Mushrooom makes the perfect post-Pinot Grigiot lunch

- Kenny's kind of a big deal. We can Tivo him.

- You can stop and visit Bobby on your way down at Virginia Tech. And give Anna's alma mater a "holla"

- You can fly on Skybus for just $10. Oh wait....no you can't. But its just a six hour drive.

They all sound like good reasons to me. I will be there a week from Thursday!

I saw that Air Bus shut down operations - what a bummer. I guess some things are too good to be true. You're right though - not a bad drive. When we finally have a mutual free weekend, I'll make that drive, although most likely solo because Joe doesn't have a free weekend until September! I got your message from Sunday. Sorry I haven't called back yet - I've been running around like a crazy person but I"ll try to give you a call this week.

Very very good run down of our visit. It was like reliving it all over again. "....raise your hands to heaven and praaaaay that we'll be back together somedaaaHAAAAAAYY" Too bad we didn't take any pictures at Waffle House. I've told Calvin yesterday that if we ever have a basement, I want a real drum set. With cymbals.

Hello Amanda,
I would love to go south, but I have just accomplished my first adventure driving to VA Beach by myself, with a layover in Salisbury. I'm the homebody of all the sister-in-laws. In 2 weeks I have to venture to Phila. to help Dustin plant a little garden in her little space. The city is a challenge for me. But my real goal is to have Rian travel with me to see the boy next year. I am already gearing myself up for that one. Vicki will graduate this May and will have a teaching degree for elementary ed. Hopefully she will get a job. Tanner says 2 years and maybe they've moved back to East Coat, like New York. Still too far for me. Rian and my grandson have been here all week, the wedding is just about done, ordering invitations next week and then it's just waiting. I hope you and Kenny can make it, but I know, like Rian, you have many obligations and distance is a problem. I spend more time at the airport and go nowhere, just dropping people off and picking them up. I think my calling is to be a wedding planner, in partnership with Mom Paula, or a taxi driver. I would love doing both. Glad yuo had a good time with Jeanine and Calvin, and thank God nothing happened to Chloe on Dustin's watch, she was worried about it.
