Has anyone else noticed the obvious lack of "traditional" Christmas cartoons/shows on the airwaves this year? I mean what is the problem? Is today's generation too good for out-of-focus, slightly mishapen claymation figures? Not so conveniently, I decided going into the holiday season, I was going to make it my mission to watch all the Christmas shows from our childhood: Rudolph, A Year without Santa, Frosty (yes, not claymation but still a classic IMO). Even Charlie Brown, Winnie the Pooh and a Blustry Day, and the Grinch Stole Christmas. With seven days to go, I have crossed zero of these off my list. Perhaps a few have aired, that I have missed, but if I am not mistaken, they have reallocated that air time to Jim Carey's Grinch (you know how I feel about him), and other ridiculous made-for-tv movies starring the likes of Tim Allen and Jenny McCarthy. Seriously people, why is everything changing?
It seems everytime I post, I am complaining about something. Hmmmm. I think I just like to inspire conversation. So you guys let me know if you have noticed this tragic situation. And, please, if you know when any of my childhood favorites will be on tv, please let me know. And its gotta be before Christmas eve.

hey amanda,
Sorry to tell you this but I am pretty sure you have missed many of your favorites!! Charlie Brown has been on and so the red nose guy.
It may be a strech to hit the ones that you want.
Love aunt m
They all came on ABC Family and you missed them. I told you!!!! Yes, kids do not watch these shows anymore. Why you ask? Because their parents all went and bought them on DVD. So one year the kids watched each show 50 million times and then got bored of it. That is a bad bad bad. These shows should be an annual event only to be watched with commercials.
PS. I also enjoy that you called the new cartoons "Hogwash" Who are you?
I missed Charlie Brown but that was Tanner and my favorite one. Last week I found a cheapo T-shirt with Charlie Brown Christmas on it and mailed it to him and said they are playing our song, because if the boy ever does get married, he'll be dancing to the Charlie Brown theme song with his mother for the first dance, even if it's the 4th of July. See, I'm alrady started on the next wedding and have hardly begun the first one.
Amanda-
Are you 27 going on 65?
JK!
Laura
Laura, I loved your Christmas card of your family, especially Abby.
Obviously she steals the show every time. I'll give your gifts to Anna at Paula's. Have a Merry Christmas with Mike's family.
Must be a slow day at work for quite a few people today. You misssed the shows because they were on sooo early.Guess TV started early just like the stores. Watch for your favorite Valentine shows to air soon-- just saw a display at a store!
1) You all are liars. The shows were never on. I thought I saw Rudolph too but it was some sneaky twist on the original. Something about "his bright shiny nose.
2) Bouyeas - we haven't yet received the Christmas card. It better be coming soon! I need some more things for my fridge. It seems bare since we have no more wedding invitations on it for now. Holla!
3) Valentines Day now??? Thats absurd.
Yea! Frosty was on last night!
Thanks Aunt M for your call! Nice you were thinking of me! :O)
