There have been several questions about the status of my arm, so I have decided to post an update on the blog. First, I have posted a scanned X-Ray of my arm after the emergency surgery. Please keep in mind that the pins appear to be more painful than they actually are:

Later, Anna thought she would be funny by taking an X-Ray of herself. In the X-Ray below, she decided to wave to the X-Ray machine while wearing her biking helmet. Anna really likes to 'be careful' when she rides. That's one thing that I really love about her.

All joking aside, my elbow is fine. I am more embarrassed that I fractured it playing nerf baseball. Who does that, really? I didn't even fall.
On a different note, I would like to thank everyone for another fun Thanksgiving.
Hope all is well,
Joe
Guess you had some time on your hands today. Glad to see your typing abilities are still functioning!
ReplyDeleteJoe and anna,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear all is well,
Joe I am afraid to say that this story will follow you for many a thanksgiving-but some one else will have a turn I just hope it is not me. Thanks for posting!

Just look at it this way, every Thanksgiving something stupid happens. Here are just a few that I remember: Uncle Dan fell in a bush during night tag, Amanda's knee fell off during a soccer game, fire alarms, food poisoning, Laura spilled soda on Uncle Dan's computer (gosh that's two incidents for Uncle Dan), numerous football injuries, Mike ran into the ocean on his first visit, etc. etc. Your injury is talk of the town now, but it will all just blend in with everything else eventually. Hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteHaha that was hilarious. As my mom would say "I guess you are feeling better." Once she whipped that one out, we knew the gig was up and it was time to go back to school.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are doing good, Joe, we were worried about you working.
ReplyDeleteAny baby news yet? You made it to the hospital before your sister.
I will copy the x-rays and put them with the rest of the family photos. Later, Aunt Pam
Joe,
ReplyDeleteIs that for real ????????
No :) It's Barbaro's leg (horse that broke his leg in the Preakness).
